there's so much ahead we won't understand
i just don't want this world to tear you apart
i'll hold on tightly to your hand

the world moves too fast so let's slow down
the only one i have to keep up with is you
i'll be okay forever as long as you're around
there's nothing you can ask that i won't do

it's getting colder as these months go by
we get closer because we need to stay warm
to keep this fire burning i'll give anything a try
i'll always have you to get me through a storm

i keep count of every day we get through
there's a celebration in every second we're together
i can always find a reason to be happy with you
even if outside it's the worst of weather

it's easy to be patient with an outcome so great
